$40.00 Late fee will be added to fees if not postmarked by due date.
Alarm system permit applicants submitting permit applications from January 1 through August 31 shall pay the established annual fee for that current year. Alarm system permit applicants submitting permit applications from September 1 through December 31 shall pay the established annual fee, which payment shall apply to the remainder of that current year and the following year.
To claim exempt status please register online and mail in your application including proof of age (62 years of age or older) or inclusion with social security benefits.
The Gardena Police Department has enabled Gardena residents to enroll in the online alarm prevention program. This course is entirely online and can be completed from any computer in about 30 minutes. It can be taken whether or not you have caused a false alarm, and there is no charge for the class. The City provides a 50% reduction [$37.50] in assessed false alarm fines for permitted residents on the 4th false alarm upon course completion - once in a 365 day period.
